Interestingly, here’s how Sharpening a Blade may sound if it was represented as statistical graphic:

Meanwhile, the plaudits for “Lighting & Electrical” continue to trickle in from the handful of people who have so far managed to hear it.

Dorian Wood of Los Angeles, California, USA had this to say:

“Your album is magnificent! I wish I had a porch SOOOO BAD so I can listen to your gorgeous music while I rock in a rocking chair and sip on absinthe! The way Americana SHOULD be! You’re all beautiful and I’d be delighted to do a show with y’all and I wanna come to Birmingham soon and let’s make it happen pleeeeeeease and I love you guys and did I tell you how much I love your album? AAAAH!!! The folkies in L.A. will know of it, fo sho! XOXOXOXO”

David Ashmore of Enfield, North London, UK (in a thinly veiled personal attack) wrote:

Nikki and I are enjoying the album, espesically the 1st and the last track, as well as the ones you sing on.”

Outside Left of Hip Magazine, The Internet had this to say…

“From The (Out of) Jail Fire with its hints of an Australian country sound a la Triffids/Go-Betweens to Monday Morning’s more traditional early 1970s British folk (I’m nodding to Fotheringay here), their new album is a perfect accompaniment to lost hours on wet tarmac on West Midlands motorways. Or just head on the table melancholy whiskey mornings.”

And Lindsay Bruce of Glasgow, Scotland, UK merely stated that “Old Souls” had made her cry…

(We’re sorry, Lindsay…Would you like your money back?)

Whether they make you cry or not, we hope that you like the songs too.
